Important information about Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance Claims
You may have seen in recent media news that the UK Supreme Court have issued judgements on a test case for Business Interruption (BI) insurance relating to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The judgements in this case are complex but also have an impact on other Event Insurances, including Wedding Insurance. Based on these judgements the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has written an open letter to insurance firms encouraging them to review the impact the test case may have on other types of insurance policies.
In light of the above, the Underwriter (UK General Insurance Ltd) and Insurer (Great Lakes Insurance SE, UK branch) of Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance have taken the decision to reassess any complaint or claim that has been declined arising from government regulations or acts, the prohibitive regulations by the government or similar clauses.
They will now be reassessing any affected claims as quickly as possible and will be in touch with those customers that have been affected directly.
Any claims will be assessed in line with the terms of the cover and if a claim is accepted the cover will be used up.
If you should have a question regarding your Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance Claim please email email@example.com, quoting your claim reference. If you have a question that cannot be responded to by email, please contact the claims team on 0344 893 1039.
Thank you for your patience whilst insurers work hard to reassess all claims thoroughly.
Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance
As a result of the information currently being provided by the World Health Organisation the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the UK Government, UK General Insurance Ltd (Underwriters of Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance) have taken the decision to suspend all new Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance applications whilst we assess the impact of the virus both in the UK and abroad.
Please note that if you are an existing customer, your policy will remain in place and unchanged.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and aim to resume business as usual as soon as possible.
With the average wedding in the UK costing £20,000 and Jewish weddings often costing substantially more, it makes sense to insure your special day against risks such as cancellation or financial failure of a wedding supplier.
If you think about all the preparation and services that go into even a modest wedding it is easy to see that there is the potential for something to go wrong, which is why you should consider protecting any deposits or payments you have made.
Compare our civil ceremony insurance with others currently available. We think you will find that Dreamsaver civil ceremony insurance is not only highly competitive, but provides excellent cover levels throughout the insurance policy, and, unlike most policies, there are no excesses at all under any section.
